About Our Music School
who we are
Founded in 2003, when Svetlana Klempner turned her private practice into an academy, Fortissimo Academy of Music and Arts is a non-profit in Côte Saint-Luc offering rigorous training in solfege, voice, guitar, violin, choir, and more. With renowned professors on its faculty, its spacious, fully equipped facility hosts multiple classes at once for students of all ages. A member of the Conseil québécois du loisir since 2010, the Academy offers private lessons, group classes, ensembles, orchestras, and choirs in a caring, nurturing environment, with recitals, competitions, and a concluding annual concert at some of Montreal's best venues. Its future goal is to keep adding programs and launch a financial aid program, so music instruction stays accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
